Woods unveiled his objectives for 2024 during a press conference preceding the 2023 Hero World Challenge, stating that he would endeavor to participate in at least one tournament per month throughout the year.
Before the 2024 Masters, the 48-year-old might compete in the Genesis Invitational Open to begin the year or the Players Championship. During the 2023 Hero World Challenge, Woods revealed his plans for 2024 (according to SB Nation):
“Once per month seems reasonable, and that will give me time to recover and tune up; perhaps I can even establish a rhythm or something along those lines.” “That was the intention for the upcoming year.”
His further statement was:
“I find it to be plausible. [I] would begin in March, possibly with [the] Genesis and something close to The Players. Once more, we have established that the most significant events occur once per month. It positions itself to do so. At this time, I must prepare myself for everything that lies ahead. He continued, “I believe this week is a significant step in that direction.”
It is noteworthy to mention that Woods participated in the Genesis Invitational Open in 2023, where he secured a tie for 45th place with a score exceeding 2. The 2024 incarnation of the competition could be held at the Riviera Golf Course in Los Angeles from February 15 to 18.

In an ideal situation, Tiger Woods might commence his season with the Genesis Invitation in mid-February.
