BACKGROUND

Tommie Lee is an American rapper, reality television personality, and urban model who is best known for her appearance on the VH1 series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” Lee, who is of African American descent, was born in Newark, New Jersey, on June 19, 1984. Samantha reared her as a child. Her siblings are Duby, Yani, Taiyaan, Reggie, and Tahaan, and her sisters are Rayjasha and Versace, although Lee and her sister Versace do not get along.

Prior to her reality television debut, Lee worked as a concert publicist. In 2012, she made her reality television debut on the series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” In the first season of the programme, she featured as a guest at Rasheeda Frost’s listening event. She then joins the supporting ensemble of season five as the girlfriend of rapper Scrapp DeLeon. The season focuses on their rocky relationship and Tiarra Becca’s violent dispute with DeLeon’s baby mama, Tiarra. Couple separates after he is detained for marijuana trafficking. She then engages in a heated argument with Joseline Hernandez, which allegedly culminated in an off-camera incident in which Lee is accused of attempting to run over Hernandez with her vehicle.

In the sixth season of “Love and Hip Hop,” Lee was promoted to a principal role, one of the few cast members to receive this distinction. The season centred on her exploits surrounding the introduction of her wine company. Lee’s “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” reality television career suffered as she battled alcoholism. Due to her inability to control her drinking, she was fired from the programme. She became intoxicated on-site and accosted a producer and security personnel. She was recalled and appeared in two additional episodes despite being prohibited from consuming alcohol on set. Lee has a supporting character in the first season of “Leave It to Stevie,” and she makes a guest appearance in the second season. She appears in the specials “Dirty Little Secrets 2” and “The Love Edition.”

Since 2003, Lee has been detained at least once a year on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to identity fraud, forgery, shoplifting, theft, and violence — including an incident involving a bus hijacking. Samaria, her eldest daughter, was born when she was 17 and in detention. Havali, her younger daughter, was born when she was 21 and in college.

In 2022, Lee served as a casting judge and is a producer for the forthcoming season of the original Zeus Network series “Baddies West.”
