The eagerly awaited sequel of Top Gun’s first trailer of finally out! Top Gun Maverick stars Tom Cruise who is reprising his role of the hotshot fighter pilot in the film.
Apart from Tom, the new cast features Miles Teller as the son of Goose which was played by Anthony Edwards in the first film. Others include Glenn Poswell, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Jay Ellis, and Val Kilmer.
Since 2010 the sequel of the film is in the works and is helmed by Tom Cruise’s oblivion director Joseph Kosinski.
The trailer witness Maverick as a person who is hesitant to progress in the ranks and is facing extinction as said by his senior.

The original film Top Gun was released in 1986 and was directed by Tony Scott. It is considered a cult classic today. The sequel Top Gun Maverick will hit the theatres on June 16, 2020.
