India’s Telecom Industry Authority TRAI has launched a new mobile application to regulate the annoying calls and unwanted calls from the users on June 1st, 2016. According to the Company, the ‘DND Services’ application will help its installers in easier management of unwanted telephonic interventions. Most of the users will regularly receive disturbing calls from the marketing callers, service callers and much more. To avoid this disturbing calls the TRAI has launched this application to all of its smartphone users. The users who want to install this app can check it out from the Google App and Mobile Seva App stores.
In the year 2011, the TRAI Company has launched the DND or Do not Disturb feature to all the mobile users in India. Now with a step ahead, the company has launched the ‘DND Services’ application which blocks all the unsolicited commercial communications (UCC). This application is currently available for Android Devices where it will be available soon on the iOS devices. All the Android Smartphones with the version 4.0 and above can acquire this app. The application has a size of 5.8 MB.
After installing the application, if the user gets any call from the unwanted number then the user can lodge their complaints which will be delivered directly to the Telecom Operator. After installation of the app, the users can choose to select DND for particular channels like education, banking, insurance, credit cards, health and consumer goods etc. There are virtual buttons to lodge a complaint, check the status of UCC and complain via call.
