On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump said that he would like to nominate the name of former Justice Department official, Christopher Wray, for the post of FBI Director. Wray has worked under the ousted FBI Director James Comey for two years when the latter was the deputy attorney general.

Chris Wray (50) has also served as assistant attorney general from 2003 to 2005.

Since he left the Justice Department in 2005, Wray has been a litigation partner at the King & Spalding Law Firm. According to several publications, he is considered one of the top litigators in white-collar crime and government investigations.

According to his law firm’s website, Wray has also worked with several Fortune 100 companies and has even clerked for Appeals Court Judge, Michael Luttig.

He graduated from Yale University in 1989 and received his law degree from Yale Law School in 1992.
