Tu Meri Main Tera vs Ikkis: Bollywood’s set for a huge Christmas 2025 face-off. Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday are teaming up for Tu Meri Main Tera, a romantic comedy, and it’s going head-to-head with Agastya Nanda’s war drama Ikkis. Both hit theaters on December 25, but they couldn’t be more different, one’s all about love and laughs, the other’s packed with action and patriotism.
Tu Meri Main Tera vs Ikkis
No one saw this clash coming, and now social media’s buzzing. Trade experts are already sizing up the box office battle, especially since it’s happening right in the middle of the festive season.
Tu Meri Main Tera
Kartik and Ananya are back together after their hit film Pati Patni Aur Woh in 2019. This time, they’re working with Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, and Sameer Vidwans is directing.

The movie was supposed to drop later, but now it’s locked in for Christmas Day, December 25, 2025.
Ikkis
The competing film is a biographical war drama starring Agastya Nanda making waves because he’s the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and directed by Sriram Raghavan.

It is based on the real-life story of Arun Khetarpal, one of India’s youngest recipients of the Param Vir Chakra, which adds a strong patriotic and emotional flavour.
It too is slated for 25 December 2025, making it a direct clash with the rom-com.

Tu Meri Main Tera vs Ikkis: Market timing
Releasing on 25 December is strategic, the holiday season means more leisure time, more movie-going. But it also means competition is fierce. By choosing this date, both films are betting on high footfall and high stakes.
Star power and Novelty
Kartik Aaryan has established a mass appeal in recent years; the reunion with Ananya Panday gives holiday-rom-com audiences something to look forward to. On the other side, for Agastya Nanda this film is a big moment, the combination of his heritage and playing a national hero gives ‘Ikkis’ a buzz of its own.
Our Take: Who Might Edge Out?
If we were to speculate: The rom-com (“Tu Meri Main Tera…”) seems positioned for bigger initial numbers given the stars, festive timing and broader audience. However, if “Ikkis” delivers strong content, good reviews and connects emotionally, it can turn into a sleeper success and give serious competition.
From a strategic viewpoint, the war biopic has a slight risk, serious content might limit repeat viewings, which rom-coms often earn via lighter entertainment value. But it might gain more prestige. The real winner might be the one with better marketing, early word of mouth and more screens.
