New ‘X’ Electric Scooter: TVS Motor Company, an Indian motorcycle manufacturing giant, has taken a brave step into the electric mobility sector with the introduction of its latest electric scooter, simply named “X.” The TVS X, which has been in development for five years since its conception as the Creon, has been unveiled to the public.

The new scooter has a futuristic yet minimalist design that attracts the eye. Modern design elements of the scooter include a vertically layered LED headlight, a bare appearance, and substructures displayed in the centre.
In terms of technology, the TVS X is equipped with an 11-kilowatt electric motor that can attain speeds of up to 65 miles per hour. With three distinct ride modes — Xealth, Xtride, and Xonic — the scooter’s performance is versatile. The battery specifications are also impressive, with a 4.44 kilowatt-hour pack promising 87.5 miles per charge and rapid charging options.
Safety was a design priority, with TVS promoting the X as India’s first electric scooter equipped with ABS. The incorporation of Smart Xhield technology provides additional contemporary safety features, accessible via the 10.25-inch display of the scooter.
At Rs 249,990 (approximately $3,005), the TVS X is priced in the premium segment of the market. Reservations will begin in December 2023 and be carried out region by region.
