UGC NET 2019 update: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started its online application process for the December 2019 UGC NET and CSIR UGC NET examinations from Monday, 9 September.
While the UGC NET exam is scheduled to be held from 2 to 6 December, 2019, the CSIR UGC NET is to be held on 15 December.
Candidates can register through the official website, nta.ac.in or ntanet.nic.in.
Candidates should note that the application process is open until 9 October.
The NTA has also released the schedule for the CSIR UGC NET 2019 examination.
The CSIR UGC NET 2019 examination (computer based test) will be conducted on 15 December. The admit card will release on November 9.
Why UGC NET is conducted?
UGC NET examination, a national level exam, is conducted to certify eligibility for the role of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Candidates, who will pass the exam, will eligible to apply for Assistant Lectureship positions or JRF positions.
While UGC NET 2019 will have two papers in the exam, Paper I and Paper II. Paper I will have reasoning, numerical and teaching ability and Paper-II will be purely based on the subject chosen by candidates.
