NEW DELHI: UGC-NET examination dates will be declared this week, said HRD minister Ramesh Pokhrial’s on Thursday, May 14 while he was going live on his Twitter with teachers and students. HRD Minister informed that the dates for the UGC NET 2020 exam will be out within a couple of days.
Earlier, the exam was slated to be held from June 15 to 20 however postpone due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak and the subsequent lockdown.
“The decision on UGC-NET June 2020 will be announced after consultation with the University Grants Commission (UGC) this week,” minister said during the session.
HRD minister addressed teachers in a live webinar and answered their questions regarding many issues such as exam dates, school reopenings guidelines, CBSE paper evaluation process, and so on.
The online application process for the UGC-NET June 2020 exam commenced on March 16 and will end on May 16. The National Testing Agency (NTA) holds UGC NET for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor Both, in Indian Universities and Colleges.
The HRD minister asked teachers to actively participate and support the ‘#MyBookMyFriend’ campaign, share their experiences with him. The minister also appreciated teachers for their hard work in imparting education through online mode amid lockdown.
