Uma Bharti not to contest in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections

Veteran Indian politician, Uma Bharti has decided not to contest in the upcoming 2019 General Elections. The politician though will continue to fight for the establishment of Ram Mandir.

Bharti currently serves as the Cabinet Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation in the Union Government of India. She is a Member of Parliament from the Jhansi(Madhya Pradesh) constituency. The politician first became a Member of Parliament by winning the 1989 Khajuraho Lok Sabha Elections. She retained her seat in the subsequent elections of 1991, 1996 and 1998.

Earlier, another senior leader Sushma Swaraj had shared her decision of not contesting in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections owing to her health reasons.
