South actress Rashmika Mandanna has been making headlines due to a raid that was conducted at her house in Karnataka. A team of IT officials from Bengaluru visited her residence and it is being said that they have found unaccounted cash.
According to reports, the IT officials seized Rs 25 lakh unaccounted cash and documents. The IT team has seized undeclared assets of Rs 3.94 crore and has found a loophole in the IT returns file of the actress.
A report quoted a source as saying that the IT team found two PAN cards on Rashmika Mandanna’s name. The source also said that the taxes were paid till 2016-17 using those two cards.
The report also states that undeclared income worth Rs 5 crore has been claimed by the IT department. After 30 hours of investigation, the team took away a suitcase, three handbags and one box of documents.
Rashmika’s mother said that they all cooperated with the officials when the raid took place. She added that the officials asked some questions which were answered properly.
For the uninitiated, Rashmika made her debut in the Kannada film industry in 2016 with the movie Kirik Party. In 2018, she made her Telugu debut with the movie Chalo. In her recently released movie Sarileru Neekevvaru, she is seen sharing screen space with Mahesh Babu.
On the work front, the actress has a number of films lined up for this year. In 2020, she will also be making her debut in the Tamil film industry. She will be starring in Bakkiyaraj Kannan’s Sultan.
