UP Board Class 10 and 12 Exam 2020 update: Ensuring no use of unfair means, UP Board will allow allot students appearing for their 10th and 12th Board exam 2020 more sitting space in the examination halls.

According to reports, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has instructed all the district inspector of schools (DIoSs) to personally assess the information provided to the board, regarding infrastructure and available space, by the schools vying to become Board examination centres across the state.

However, students appearing for their Class 10 and 12 Board exams can now look forward to more personal space as they will be allotted a minimum of 20 square feet or 1.86 square metres of space each.

According to a board official, the decision will be implemented in the Board exams to be held from 2020 onwards.

Board Secretary, Neena Srivastava was quoted saying that the DIoSs have been asked to submit their reports and recommendations by 15th October 2019. All the information about infrastructure, space and additional facilities submitted by the school as part of the online application process for being considered as exam centres for 2020 will have to be verified by DIoSs. She added that the norm of minimum 20 sq. feet space per student in the examination halls existed in the Board rules earlier as well but was never strictly implemented. Thus, after receiving reports that some centres were unable to provide the examinees with adequate space the decision to ensure minimum space has been taken and will be strictly implemented.
