UP: Samajwadi party worker dies of heart attack after cop threatens to send him to jail in Aligarh

A Samajwadi Party worker dies of heart failure on Sunday after a policeman threatened to send him to jail as he was playing ludo with his friends outside his house in Aligarh.

The wife of the victim, Asha, said that the policeman who was incharge of Jaiganj police chowki, clicked the photograph of Narayan Varshney and threatened him to send him to jail for lockdown violation.

Due to this, the victim got scared and collapsed.

She added to it that her husband is a heart patient and he used to often sit outside the house as he felt suffocated inside the house.

According to police, the incident took place on Sunday at 12.30 PM.

The cop who was on patrolling duty was made to ask the people to not violate the lockdown rules and due to that the man stoop up and immediately collapsed.

The circle officer, Vishal Pandey said that they have asked the family to get a post-mortem examination done to get the more clear picture about the cause of the death but the family had refused to it.

Pandey further said that the policeman was just doing his duty, he further said that no complaint has been filed by the victim’s family against the policeman.
