UPTET Result 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) on Wednesday declared the results of the UPTET 2026, with more than 13.3 lakh candidates qualifying the teacher eligibility examination held across 60 districts.
The qualifying percentage stood at 80.07 per cent for the primary level and 71.85 per cent for the upper-primary level, the commission said.
UPESSC Chairman Prashant Kumar said the examination was conducted on July 2 and 3 in two shifts each day and on July 4 in a single shift, covering a total of five shifts across 955 centres in 60 districts.
A total of 19,94,661 candidates had registered for the examination, which was conducted over three days in view of the large number of applicants, according to an official statement.
At the primary level (classes 1 to 5), 7,13,648 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 5,71,435, or 80.07 per cent, qualified, it said.
At the upper-primary level (classes 6 to 8), 10,57,021 candidates appeared, and 7,59,513, or 71.85 per cent, qualified, it added.
Among serving teachers who appeared for the examination, 93,387 out of 1,22,405 candidates (76.29 per cent) qualified at the primary level, while 1,13,384 of 1,46,394 candidates (77.45 per cent) qualified at the upper-primary level.
The results were prepared following the comparative evaluation or normalisation process specified in the examination notification, the commission said.
Kumar said the commission successfully conducted the examination involving more than 19 lakh candidates with fairness, transparency and security.
“The result has been prepared by following the comparative evaluation process prescribed in the notification,” he said.
A total of 19,94,661 candidates registered for UPTET 2026. Out of them, 17,70,714 candidates appeared in the exam. The overall attendance was 88.77%. The exam was held at centres across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

- Open the UPTET 2026 Result link.
- Enter the required login details.
- Click on Submit.
- Check your name, roll number, marks and qualifying status.
- Download the scorecard and keep it safe for future use.
UPTET 2026 Exam Pattern
UPTET has two papers. Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for Classes 6 to 8. Both papers have 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks. The exam is held offline and candidates get 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete it. There is no negative marking, so no marks are cut for a wrong answer.
Paper 1 has Child Development and Pedagogy, Hindi, a second language, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Each section has 30 questions and carries 30 marks.

Paper 2 also has Child Development and Pedagogy, Hindi and a second language. The fourth section is either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies, depending on the candidate’s subject choice. This section carries 60 marks.
UPTET Passing Marks and Certificate
For UPTET, candidates from the general category need to score at least 60%, which is 90 marks out of 150. Candidates from reserved categories need 55%, or 82 marks. Candidates who qualify receive the UPTET certificate.
The UPTET certificate is valid for life. The final result will be prepared after the commission reviews the objections raised against the provisional answer key.
