Abhinandan Pathak, once a die-hard fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to join Congress. Dissatisfied with the BJP government, Pathak has decided to campaign against them. One of the reasons behind the dissatisfaction is nonperformance of the Modi government, which failed to keep up the promises made to the voters during the 2014 general election.
“I have lost my faith in the BJP government”, says Pathak.
On Wednesday when Pathak walked inside the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee headquarter in Lucknow, bewildered congressmen were shocked and started asking him the question: “when we will get 15 lakh in our account? In reference to the promise made by PM Modi repeatedly during Lok Sabha election campaign 2014.”
Pathak resembles with the PM and he has also been used by the BJP several times for campaign. He was also center of attraction in Delhi assembly polls 2015, where he campaigned for the BJP. Pathak has also contested Lok Sabha poll in 1999, UP assembly in 2012. He has been a corporator from Saharanpur and served the office twice.
He also said that people are angry at the nonperformance of the Modi government and they are cursing the govt. he also shares his disappointment with PM Modi and said: I have written around 50 letters to Modiji. He never responded.
Pathak has expressed his desire to meet AICC president Rahul Gandhi and already conveyed the same to UPCC chief Raj Babbar on Wednesday.
