In the wake of surging cases due to coronavirus pandemic, High school and intermediate examinations have been postponed in Uttarakhand till further notice.
“High school and intermediate examinations have been postponed in Uttarakhand till further notice in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak,” said R Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary, School Education Department.
The total number of positive cases of coronavirus has climbed to 283, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday, March 21.
Amid coronavirus panicking situation, the last paper of SSC exams had also been postponed by School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad on Saturday, March 21, 2020. The exam will be rescheduled after March 31, she said.
Those applicants who were taking exams are advised to keep track of the official website for the latest updates about the exam. Around 17 lakh students were slated to appear for the Geography paper on March 23.
Meanwhile, Aligarh Muslim University has postponed the admission and departmental exams which were to take place in the month of April.
