UP: Vande Bharat Express runs over bull, halts for 27 minutes

Newly launched Vande Bharat Express has been ruling the headlines for quit some time now. In a recent incident, the train collided with a bull on Wednesday evening at around 7:30 PM near Jhinjhak railway station in Kanpur.

According to the station master Rajendra Meena, the accident happened after a bull suddenly came  in front of the high speeding train near Ranpur gate.

In the unfortunate accident, the bull get rammed over by the train. The carcass was stuck in between the wheels which created panic among the passengers. As soon as the incident came to light, there was a rift in railway workers as well. The Station Master within no time, reported to the Control Room.

The train which travelling from Banaras to Delhi stood still for 27 minutes at the station. The journey was resumed at about 8:00 PM after the staff members.

In a similar incident, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the indigenously built Vande Bharat Express to Varanasi from New Delhi, the train made an unscheduled stop for over three hours on Saturday near Tundla in Uttar Pradesh.

The train came to a halt 18 km ahead of Tundla station after it ran over some livestock around 5.30 a.m. near Chamraula station, according to railway officials.
