Notably, Amritpal, the leader of the pro-Khalistan organization ‘Waris Punjab De,’ is the subject of three cases, two of which have been filed at the Ajnala police station in the Amritsar district. Saturday at 1 p.m., when Amritpal’s convoy arrived near Jalandhar, the police cordoned off the area. His six assistants were detained. A video of Amritpal fleeing in his automobile has also gone viral on social media.
