Indian jewellery brand Tanishq had to withdraw their latest advertisement after facing backlash over its content. The beautiful ad showed Hindu women getting a baby shower. from her Muslim mother-in-law and promoted communal harmony.
The ad, though irked a certain section of the society as the brand was blamed for promoting ‘love jihad’. There was a trend of #BoycottTanishq that took over by the storm.
Now, days after the Tanishq controversy, another Jewellery ad is going viral on social media. Unlike Tanishq, this ad has been lauded by the audience because of the powerful content which doesn’t involve any kind of religion.

The ad shows a girl walking on a road while a bike follows her. The girl who initially appears frightened pulls up a stick and shows her skills to the man following her. The man took a back move and goes away. It leaves a powerful message towards the end “Har Betiya ko Durga Banna Padhega”
Coming back to Tanishq ad, the advertisement is a part of Tanishq’s festive season collection ‘Ekatvam’, which is a confluence of the country’s finest art forms, intricately knitted into one.
