An overweight 13-year-old boy named Akshat Singh rocked the stage of Britain’s Got Talent with his energetic dance moves.

On April 20, the teenager appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, and his no-holds barred dance got him not just a standing ovation but the coveted Golden Buzzer, that’s helped him go straight to the live semi-final performance.

When one of the judges asked him why he is on the show, Akshat replied, “I have two mottos in life – to make everyone happy and to show everyone that nothing is impossible.” His words seemed to have impressed judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.

Singh started his performance with the song “Deva Shree Ganesha” from “Agneepath” and followed it with some fast-paced dance moves, twerks and 180 degree splits on rapper Nicki Minaj’s song “Starships”. A Salman Khan fan, he concluded the dance with a box split and a message: “Fat people can dance”. He received a standing ovation from all the four judges and also the audience.

Before the judges could vote for the performance with a yes or no, the show’s hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly rushed to hit the third Golden Buzzer of the season.

Hailing from the city of Mumbai, the entertainment capital of India, Akshat is neither new to reality shows nor is he new to showbiz in general. He has been in films gyrating with Bollywood star Salman Khan. He has also been part of various Indian television shows: Dance Bangla Dance, Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, India’s Got Talent, and Comedy Nights With Kapil are some notable ones.
