Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav is the youngest son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi. The ambitious leader of RJD is believed to be the Chief Ministerial face of RJD for the next assembly elections in Bihar. However, the 29-year-old is planning to get married next year after the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
“I will surely get married after Lok Sabha elections but not before that, as I will not be able to find time to go for my honeymoon amid busy campaigning schedule. At present I have completely focused to defeat the communal forces”, said Tejashwi Yadav.
While serving as Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi had has made a mobile number public asking people to directly send him their grievances related to roads and commutation in Bihar. According to Tejashwi, his phone was flooded with marriage proposals from girls instead of grievances.
Lalu Prasad’s advice to Tejashwi Yadav ‘Get Married’
According to reports, Tejashwi recently visited his ailing father and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav who is serving prison terms in Birsa Munda jail in Ranchi. There the father advised his youngest son to get settled soon.
“I have been getting many marriage proposals from different states for quite some time but I have been delaying my marriage. Now, the pressure within the family is building up,” said Tejashwi.
Not disclosing enough about his personal life Tejashwi Yadav recalls, “I was at a public meeting and while he was sitting on the dais at RJD office in Patna, one pandit Ji approached him and gave me an envelope. I was expecting some grievance but when I opened the envelope I was amused to see the bio-data of a girl with a photograph. I just looked at Pandit Ji and he asked me to give his opinion on the photograph. I gave the envelope to my security guard.”
Tejashwi Yadav’s girlfriend
However, according to a report in Blogspot ‘Ed.’, Tejashwi Yadav has a girlfriend since his school life called Shruti Kumari. Shruti is from Bihar but the duo became friends back when Tejashwi was studying in Delhi Public School in Delhi. Even though the caste of Shruti could not be confirmed but as per the speculations, she does not belong to the Yadav community.
How certainly would Tejashwi marry Shruti
If the speculation of Shruti not belonging to Yadav community is believed to be true, the question arises, would it be easy for Tejashwi Yadav to get hitched to his long-time girlfriend Shruti Kumari? In a state like Bihar where politics is directly proportional to caste, how difficult/easy is it for a politician to marry someone by going out of caste circumference.
However, we already have an example from Uttar Pradesh where Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav married his son Akhilesh Yadav outside his caste. Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav is married to Dimple Yadav who belongs to Thakur (Rajput) community.
