Who is Amit Lodha? IPS officer in Netflix’s 'Khakee The Bihar Chapter'

Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, a Netflix India super cop drama, is ready to captivate viewers. Neeraj Pandey’s web series is based on the life of IPS officer Amit Lodha, as told in his book The Bihar Diaries. The book describes the police officer’s time in one of Bihar’s crime-ridden villages, as well as how he was able to apprehend one of the region’s most feared gangsters.

After being transferred to Bihar, Amit Lodha launched the Sambhav initiative to spark local initiatives and maximise the potential of the state’s youth. He was instrumental in establishing the Bharat Ke Veer fund, which supported the families of martyrs, alongside Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

Following his transfer to Bihar, Lodha launched Initiative Sambhav to inspire community service and boost the potential of the state’s youth. He also co-founded the popular Bharat ke Veer campaign with actor Akshay Kumar, which aimed to help the families of martyrs. He was awarded the Police Gallantry Medal for solving a Naxal case and escaping an encounter unscathed. He rose to national prominence after capturing the ‘Gabbar Singh of Sheikhpura.’ This unnamed gangster was the subject of several murder investigations. Amit Lodha apprehended him after a thrilling three-month chase across several states. He is currently the Inspector General (IG) of police.

Following the success of his first book, he wrote another last year titled Life In The Uniform.

Khakee The Bihar Chapter, directed by Bhav Dhulia and produced by Neeraj Pandey, also stars Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan, Anup Soni, Jatin Sarna, Nikita Dutta, Abhimanyu Singh, Aishwarya Sushmita, and Shraddha Das in pivotal roles.

Netflix has the series available for streaming.
