Madhya Pradesh cabinet minister and senior BJP leader Gauri Shankar Bisen was caught on video bragging that Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani is his sister. “I will win elections by distributing 10,000 sarees and asked her (Smriti Irani) to print in Surat for Rs 30 lakh”, Bisen was seen stating in a video.
The video that is now going viral in the poll-bound state, Agriculture minister Bisen is allegedly saying that there is a “theka(contract)” of Rs 100 crore with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for either the Agricultural Ministry or the Forest Ministry. He says main dunga 100 crore aur ya to Krishi ya Van lunga (I will give 100 crore and take either agriculture or forest).
The video has created an embarrassment for the party and no official statement has been issued by BJP till now. Polling will be held on November 28 in Madhya Pradesh and results will be declared on December 11.
