As the world celebrates, Milk Day 2019 on June 1, to bring awareness towards the many benefits of milk the day is marked.

The aim is to make milk as a global food. The history of the day dates back to 2001 when the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations observed the day to recognize the importance of milk as a global food.
