World Vegan Day was founded in 1994 by Louise Wallis, the Chair of the Vegan Society, the UK to commemorate the 50th anniversary of establishing the organisation and coining of the term vegan and veganism. The President of the Vegan Society decided to elect the date of the 1st of November. Till that time now this day is observed and celebrated as the world vegan day to promote a healthy lifestyle.
