Xiaomi's Cuktech introduces limited edition power bank and charger for Chinese New Year

Earlier this year, ZMI, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xiaomi, was renamed Cuktech in order to comply with legal requirements. For those unaware, Cuktech is the company that makes power accessories sold by Xiaomi.

It is also known for its own line of power banks and chargers. To commemorate the Chinese New Year, two of the brand’s products have been redesigned in special editions.

In China, the Cuktech 10 Power Bank and Cuktech Ultra-thin GaN Charger are now available in gold color options, embossed with the text ‘2024’.

The battery pack is priced at ¥249 (~$35), whereas the charger costs ¥169 (~$25). Both of them are up for sale on JD (Jingdong).

It is only the color that differs between the special edition and regular variant.

With a battery capacity of 10,000mAh, the Cuktech 10 Power Bank resembles a chocolate bar. Its dimensions are 143 x 45 x 33.4 mm and its weight is about 287 grams.

A TFT LCD color screen is included in the accessory, which shows power, voltage, current, and other parameters in real time.

With a USB Type-C port that supports up to 120W output and 90W input, as well as a USB Type-A port that supports 33W output, the battery pack features a combined output capacity of 150W.

A variety of charging standards are supported, such as USB PD (Power Delivery) 3.0, PPS (Programmable Power Supply), QC (Qualcomm Quick Charge), FCP (HiSilicon Fast Charging Protocol), and UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specification).

Meanwhile, the Cuktech Ultra-thin GaN Charger features a foldable pin and supports up to 65W output.

A number of popular charging standards are also supported, including USB PD 3.0, QC, and AFC (Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging).
