Apple Cracks Down on App Store, Bans Nudity-Generating Apps Utilizing AI: A few days after Huawei phones’ AI functionality may malfunction and remove clothing, Apple’s rumors arose (404 Media).
The business reportedly banned three “art generators” apps from the App Store that advertised on adult websites and Instagram as “undress any girl for free.”
AI was used to create naked photos of dressed humans. Despite not showing nudity, the app can generate photos for harassment, extortion, and privacy breach.
Notably, 404 Media disseminated hyperlinks to the applications and their advertisements, and Apple issued a reply subsequent to that.

The App Store unexpectedly included these apps in 2022, pushing “undress” on pornographic websites.
The study also indicates that these apps were first authorized on the App Store if they eliminated pornographic website advertisements.
One app had ads until Google withdrew it from the Play Store in 2024.
Finally, Apple removed them from the App Store. However, reactive app store filtering and the prospect of developers exploiting vulnerabilities are moderately worrying.
The timing is key for Apple. Major iOS 18 and Siri AI announcements are expected at WWDC 2024.
