Yamaha R15 V4 Price Increased:The recent price update has increased the buying cost of Yamaha R15 V4 for Indian customers. The entry-level supersport motorcycle which has gained widespread popularity now faces an identical price increase that affects all its available models.

Auto portals which provide trustworthy information have reported that Yamaha increased R15 prices by ₹4,900 for all model variants which will start applying from May 2026.
- Flat hike: ₹4,900 on all variants
- Effective date: May 2026
The bike price increase requires customers to pay a higher amount for the same model because Yamaha has not included any new features with the price rise.
New Yamaha R15 Price in India (Ex-Showroom)

The Yamaha R15 V4 now has a new price range after the recent price update.
- Base variant: Around ₹1.69 lakh
- Top variant: Up to ₹1.96 lakh (approx.)
The previous price range began at approximately ₹1.67 lakh and reached a maximum of about ₹1.91 lakh based on the selected model.
On-Road Price Impact
With the hike, on-road prices in major cities have also increased:
- Delhi: ~₹1.97 lakh onwards
- Chennai: ~₹2.05 lakh onwards
- Noida/Ludhiana: ~₹1.95 lakh onwards
Top-end variants can now cross ₹2.2–2.3 lakh on-road, depending on location and insurance.

No Changes in Features or Performance
The price of R15 has increased but its mechanical components have remained constant. The variant still provides:
- 155cc liquid-cooled engine
- Variable Valve Actuation (VVA)
- Quick shifter (on select variants)
- Traction control system
- Fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth
The evidence shows that the price increase happened because of rising production expenses and market changes instead of any product improvements.
The ₹4,900 increase in price for the Yamaha R15 V4 makes the motorcycle approach the ₹2 lakh (ex-showroom) price point for its highest variants. The motorcycle maintains its top performance and features within its category yet customers must now spend extra money to obtain the same experience.
