Regarding YashoBhoomi Inauguration

YashoBhoomi is located 10 kilometres from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and is being constructed in two phases.

The IICC is being constructed as a modern centre to promote meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) activities in order to attract and promote business and industry. On an area of 221.37 acres in Dwarka Sector 25 and at an estimated cost of Rs 25,703 crore, the entire project is planned.

The’state-of-the-art’ facility has a total project area of over 8.9 lakh square metres and a total built-up area of over 1.8 lakh square metres.

The capacity of the main auditorium’s 15 convention rooms, which include the main auditorium, the grand ballroom, and 13 conference rooms, is 11,000 delegates. It will be one of the largest meeting, incentive, conference, and exhibition (MICE) facilities in the globe.

This multipurpose convention center’s auditorium is the largest in the country and can accommodate approximately 6,000 visitors.

The main auditorium is endowed with cutting-edge automatic seating systems, allowing for multiple seating arrangements, whether a flat floor or tiered seating resembling an auditorium.

Utilising wooden floors and acoustic wall panels, the design prioritises visitor comfort and experience. The Convention Centre also features the nation’s largest LED media facade.

YashoBhoomi will surpass Bharat Mandapam in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, which hosted the G20 Summit, as the country’s largest convention centre. On July 26, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Bharat Mandapam and handed it over to the Ministry of External Affairs for the summit.

The auditorium features one of the most advanced automated seating systems, which enables the floor to be either flat or tiered for a variety of seating configurations. It is also equipped with advanced security measures to assure the safety of the guests.

The underground parking garage for over 3,000 vehicles is also equipped with over 100 charging stations for electric vehicles.

It also includes materials and objects inspired by Indian culture, such as terrazzo floors with brass inlays representing rangoli patterns, sound-absorbing metal cylinders suspended from the ceiling, and illuminated patterned walls.

There will also be media offices, VVIP lounges, cloakrooms, visitor information centres, and ticketing facilities.

YashoBhoomi also demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability by having a wastewater treatment system with 100% wastewater reuse, rainwater collection, rooftop solar panels.

Times of India reported that CP Kukreja Architects, who designed the exhibition complex, stated that the indoor arena will feature the first retractable canopy in the country. The multipurpose indoor arena will be approximately eight times the size of a Wimbledon tennis court.
