Why did YNW Melly face arrest?

There is no doubt that YNW Melly was one of the most popular rappers in 2019 due to his viral hit Murder on My Mind, which became an instant social media phenomenon. This song was released on February 13, 2019, when the rapper was arrested in connection with the murder of his two companions. His friends and fellow group members YNW Sakchaser (real name Chris Thomas) and YNW Juvy Chris (real name Anthony Williams) were the two victims. Scroll down the page for more information.

Following a five-month investigation, the apprehension of YNW Melly was made. YNW Bortlen reportedly dropped off William and Thomas at the Memorial Hospital in Miramar, Florida at 4:25 a.m. on the night his two companions were murdered. They were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the time. YNW Bortlen asserted that they were shot in a drive-by murder by unknown assailants. After five months of investigation, the authorities concluded that YNW Melly was the alleged shooter and that he shot two of his friends. Bortlen was arrested in Houston and extradited to Florida to face murder and accessory to murder charges. Miramar Police stated at the time, “Jamell Demons, also known as YNW Melly and Cortlen Henry, were arrested and accused with two counts of first-degree murder. Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. were murdered on October 26, 2018. The investigation, corroborated by forensic evidence, determined that Demons shot and killed Williams & Thomas Jr. and that Demons and Henry staged the crime scene to look like a drive-by shooting.” Follow this website for additional information and updates.
