Game of Thrones Season 8 official trailer is out we just can’t keep calm because this time its a fist-to-fist fight between ‘Ice and Fire’.

The official teaser of last season of the series, released on Friday December 7, hints at a lot of plot points in the upcoming season. The minute-long video doesn’t feature clips from the actual show, but is instead a visual interpretation of the final clash in A Song of Ice and Fire, the George R R Martin novel series the show is based on.

The teaser shows the Painted Table at Dragonstone catching fire, symbolizing fire and ice. Teaser begins with ice engulfing a statute of a direwolf, the sigil of House Stark. The ice then moves ahead and freezes over a dragon statue, the sigil of House Targaryen. Next, big flames engulf a lion statue, the sigil of House Lannister.

In the last season, we saw that Stark and Targaryen houses joined their forces to fight against the whitewalkers. Cersei Lannister, however, was still safe in the south of Westeros with Jaime deserting her and riding up north. The audience also got confirmation on Jon’s true parentage and it was revealed that he is a valid heir to the throne.

With this teaser out, it’s been confirmed that Game of Thrones will return for its eighth and final season in April 2019, though with only six episodes, but each one set to be over one hour long.
