A 54-year-old nurse from Kerala passed away in Germany due to coronavirus on Monday. The woman is identified as Princy Xavier.
Princy hailed from Angamaly in Ernakulam district. She is survived by her husband Xavier and daughter Athira.
The reports state that around 50 Keralites died due to coronavirus around the globe so far.
7 new coronavirus cases were reported as of 5:00 PM on Apr 26 in Kerala, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This brings the total reported cases of coronavirus in Kerala to 458. Among the total people infected as on date, 338 have recovered and 4 have passed away.
The world is now enforcing new rules to maintain social distancing and one of them now can be seen in the Thanneermukkom gram panchayat in Alappuzha has come up with a unique idea to enforce social distancing in the area. The authorities have mandated everyone residing there to hold an umbrella when they go out.
“Two opened umbrellas, not touching each other, will ensure a minimum distance of 1 meter from one another,” said state finance minister Thomas Isaac.
