Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra recently tied knots with the American Singer Nick Jonas and it seems their lavish wedding has caught the attention of ““The Simpsons” family too. The newly wedded couple have become a part of “The Simpsons” family with their own caricatured characters.
Priyanka, who is spending Christmas with her family in London, on Tuesday took to the social media and shared “The Simpsons” renditions by illustrators Stefano Monda and Rino Russo.
In the caricatured artwork, Nick and Priyanka are seen standing together as a married couple in a traditional ‘desi’ attire as the Simpson family looks on. And in the second they are seen in Christian wedding dresses with Homer Simpson officiating the ceremony. The two have the perfect Simpson look with protruding upper lips.
Priyanka loved the drawings and shared them on her official Instagram account.
The pictures have already received hundreds of thousands of likes in less than four hours.
The duo got married in both Hindu and Christian ceremonies. Wearing a hand-beaded and embroidered Ralph Lauren gown with a 75-foot long veil, Priyanka looked ethereal at her Christian wedding ceremony. For the Hindu wedding ceremony, Priyanka sported a deep red lehenga, choli and dupatta. She looked every bit the ‘desi’ bride with the chooda, kaleere and garland. Nick ported a sherwani and a turban.
On the work front, Priyanka will soon resume shooting for Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink. The film, which marks her comeback in Bollywood, is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. It is slated to release sometime next year.
