Taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav for the humiliating loss in the UP Polls, Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday said how can anyone trust a person who wasn’t faithful to his father.
Responding to Mulayam’s comment, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said the SP supremo was once a socialist leader and added that today he is neither leader of his brother nor of his son.
Prior to the Assembly polls, Samajwadi Party had witnessed a political fued with Akhilesh sidelining Mulayam and Shivpal Yadav before taking over the reins of the party. The Samajwadi Party could only manage to win 47 seats in the 403-member assembly.
The two factions of the Samajwadi Party had even approached the Election Commission of India to stake claim on the party symbol ‘cycle’.
