The Former India skipper MS Dhoni is going to turn a year older on Tuesday. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is going to celebrate his 39th birthday on July 7, 2020. Dhoni was born on this day in 1981, MS Dhoni became one of the most successful captains and wicket keeper batsman of this generation.
Last month, Lakshmi Narayanan, the Team Manager of Chennai Super Kings, had started a #DhoniBirthdayCDP trend. He asked the fans to use Dhoni’s image as their DP.

He played junior cricket for Bihar before making it to the senior team. Dhoni made his India debut in an ODI against Bangladesh 2004. A year later, he played his first Test against Sri Lanka in Chennai.

Dhoni ended Team India’s hunt to find a long-term wicketkeeper and became the first-choice keeper-batsman. In 2007, he led Men in Blue to a victory in the inaugural edition of T20 World Cup in South Africa. He was also named as India’s full-time ODI captain in September 2007. Next year, he replaced Anil Kumble as Test captain.

He was all set to make a return as a captain of the CSK in the 2020 edition of IPL, which was originally slated to take place from March 29 to May 24 but was postponed indefinitely by the BCCI in the wake of COVID-19.

Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014 and handed the charge to Virat Kohli. In 2017, he relinquished the top job in white-ball cricket as well. Dhoni is yet to retire from the game but hasn’t played any competitive game for a year now. He is confirmed to lead Chennai Super Kings whenever the T20 league takes place.
