POCO F6 5G: A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor will power POCO’s upcoming F-series smartphone, the POCO F6 5G, to be launched on May 23 in India.
What we know so far about the POCO F6 5G
POCO G6 5G will be the first smartphone in India powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
This flagship-grade chip is manufactured on a 4nm node and has a Cortex-X4 core like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
POCO has already revealed that the POCO F6 will feature a dual-rear camera setup, with a 50MP camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
In China, the POCO F6 5G was recently launched as the Redmi Turbo 3.
There will be a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1.5K resolution, and a peak brightness of 2400nits.
This device is expected to have up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It may have a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. It will most likely run HyperOS based on Android 14.
There will be a 50MP Sony LYT600 primary camera with OIS and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide camera.
The POCO F6 5G is expected to feature a 20MP selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP64 rating, an IR blaster, and Dolby Atmos support.
As for pricing, while the Redmi Turbo 3 was launched in China for 1999 Yuan (approximately Rs 24,000), taxes and other factors may push the price of the Poco F6 between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000, according to previous speculations and the pricing trend set by its predecessor, the Poco F5.
According to rumors and the timing of the previous Poco F5 launch, the Poco F6 could launch in May 2024 if official confirmation from Poco is awaited.
