In a significant move, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday named a panel of chairpersons to aid in the smooth functioning of House proceedings.
The distinguished panel includes Jagdambika Pal, PC Mohan, Sandhya Rai, Dilip Saikia, A Raja, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Krishna Prasad, and Avdhesh Prasad.
These appointed chairpersons are vested with the same powers as the Speaker when presiding over the sessions, ensuring continuity in the management of the House’s affairs.
This development follows the recent constitution of the 18th Lok Sabha after the parliamentary elections, marking a new chapter in the legislative process.
