Vijay Deverakonda derogatory Remarks on Tribals: Telugu film star Vijay Deverakonda has landed in legal trouble after a serious complaint was filed against him. The Raidurgam police in Telangana have registered a case under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The issue started because of what Vijay reportedly said during a public event in April 2025. His remarks have hurt the feelings of m any from tribal communities, and the police are now investigating the matter.

The complaint came from Nenavath Ashok Kumar Naik, who is the State President of the Joint Action Committee of Tribal Communities. He sent in a written complaint where he clearly explained what upset him and others in the tribal community. He said Vijay made some very disrespectful comments during the pre-release function of the movie Retro on April 26.

According to him, the actor said that tribal people had no intelligence or even basic common sense. He also said that Vijay compared tribal people to Pakistani terrorists, which made the community very angry. Naik said, “He insulted their tribal community by saying that they had beaten them 500 years ago without any intelligence and minimum common sense. Moreover, he made comments comparing them to Pakistani terrorists.”

Mr. Naik gave the police a link to the YouTube video where Vijay said the controversial things. That video was shared through Sithara Entertainment’s official channel and spread quickly online. People on different media platforms started reacting strongly and shared their disappointment. people felt that the actor’s words hurt the dignity and self-respect of the tribal community. The video clip made its way across social media, and it only made things worse as more people saw it and shared their anger.

The police registered a First Information Report (FIR) based on the details mentioned in the complaint. The case was taken seriously because of the type of law involved the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, which is meant to protect people from these communities from any kind of hate speech or insult.

Right now the investigation is going on. The police are looking into the video and everything that was said to figure out the truth. No arrest has been made yet, but the case is open and under full review.

Vijay Deverakonda has not yet made a public statement on the matter. People are now waiting to see what the police find and how the actor will respond to the complaint.
