ROG Xbox Ally Leak: In early August 2025, the ROG Xbox Ally that wild ASUS and Xbox team-up handheld straight up popped onto Amazon US for a hot minute. The listing vanished almost instantly, but not before some eagle-eyed nerds snagged the juicy details.
ROG Xbox Ally Leak
Tom Warren (the man from The Verge who’s always in the know) dropped a screenshot on X showing off an Amazon microsite for the thing. That page is toast now, but the cat’s out of the bag: ASUS is gearing up to launch this portable PC, and Gamescom 2025 (kicks off August 20) is almost definitely where we’ll get the official word. There’s even some random leaker whispering that October 16 is the big day.
the Xbox Ally has appeared on Amazon, but no price or release date info. I’d expect info on both at Gamescom next week. While euro pricing has leaked it’s the USD pricing that’s key for this device https://t.co/RRDVTU22mF pic.twitter.com/X5kDQXUcVs

What Did The Leak Reveal?
Here’s what we know so far:
- It’s got a 7-inch Full HD touchscreen, 120Hz refresh, super bright at 500 nits, and a 7ms response basically, slick and snappy.
- You can expct AMD’s Ryzen Z2 A (with those Zen 5 cores and shiny new RDNA 3.5 graphics).
- 16 gigs of DDR5 RAM, 512 gigs of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage and yes, you can upgrade it if you want to tinker.
- Runs Windows 11 Home, comes with all the Xbox-y software like Armor Crate SE and Xbox Game Bar, plus some custom full-screen Xbox mode, and a chunky 60 Wh battery.
ROG Xbox Ally Leak: Expected Pricing
The European leaks are saying €599 for the basic one and €899 for the Ally X, which is the fancy version. No official word for the US, but, honestly, it’ll probably just be $599 and $899 because that’s how tech pricing usually works. Unless, you know, someone gets greedy with taxes.
ROG Xbox Ally Launch Date
The launch date floating around is October 16, 2025; Amazon and some industry insiders both seem to agree on that. So, yeah, get your wallets ready for a mid-October drop.
Everyone’s staring at Gamescom now, waiting for Microsoft to finally spill the beans: when is it coming, how much, and can you actually get your hands on one? If you’re lucky enough to go, maybe you’ll even get to try it out on the show floor.
It’s basically a super-powered Windows PC you can hold, with Xbox logos all over it and tight integration for Game Pass. Microsoft’s getting sneaky trying to pull you into the Xbox software universe without building a new console from scratch.
This ROG Xbox Ally leak gives us a pretty clear snapshot of what’s coming. High-spec, very Xbox, dropping this fall unless someone at Microsoft changes their mind. By the end of Gamescom, we should have all the answers price, preorders, maybe even a meme or two.
