Rapid Rail Delhi to Gurgaon: The Indian government has approved two new Namo Bharat Rapid Rail Corridors that will link Delhi with Gurgaon, Rewari, Sonipat, Panipat and Karnal. The total cost of these projects is expected to be around Rs 65,000 crore once the Union Cabinet gives its final approval.
This move is a major step to improve travel between Delhi and Haryana. It also comes after a long delay because of funding issues between the central government and the previous AAP-led government in Delhi.

Rapid Rail Delhi to Gurgaon Plans
The new Delhi-Gurgaon Rapid Rail project will have two main routes called Corridor I and Corridor II. The first one will go from Sarai Kale Khan to Bawal and cover about 93 km. The second route will connect Sarai Kale Khan to Karnal, stretching nearly 136 km.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs said the first corridor will cost around Rs 32,000 crore, while the second will cost about Rs 33,000 crore.
An official told the Economic Times, “Delhi and Haryana governments are working together in a Value Capture Financing (VCF) model to fund this.” This means both governments will share the cost of the project by using money earned from development along the routes.
