Mahindra XUV 7XO Facelift: Design, Features, Engine & Expected Price

Mahindra XUV 7XO Facelift: As the Indian SUV market heats up for early 2026, Mahindra is preparing to introduce its next big move: the Mahindra XUV 7XO. The XUV 7XO is not an entirely new car by Mahindra; in fact, it is a major facelift and renaming of the well-known XUV700. The new name is a part of Mahindra’s changing naming strategy and, like in the case of the XUV 3XO facelift of the XUV300, it shows that Mahindra is continuing to apply its new naming strategy.

While being tested the XUV 7XO seems to keep the XUV700’s basic outline and powerful stance, but it comes with more modern external and internal design features. The spy pics and leaked images reveal sharper LED lights, redesigned bumpers, a new grille, and different alloy wheel designs.

The addition of LED lighting that gives a high-quality look to both the front and rear of the vehicle.

New alloy wheel designs that add an elegant yet rugged feel typical of Mahindra’s SUV line-up.

Interior

The most talked-about aspect of the XUV 7XO is its interior transformation. Mahindra has teased a triple-screen layout, a first for its ICE (internal combustion engine) SUVs, bringing a level of digital sophistication previously seen on electric models such as the XEV 9S and XEV 9e.

The digital instrument cluster presents all driving-related information.

The navigation and entertainment central touchscreen controls the whole cabin.

The display facing the passenger allows the front seat occupant to operate apps and media independently.

The cabin is to be not only technologically advanced but also very stylish, luxurious, and user-friendly with the like of a dual-tone upholstery, a premium two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, and an overall design that integrates style with user-friendliness.

The company is also looking to add some features to make the XUV 7XO an instant hit in the segment.

“Boss Mode” powered: This electrically adjustable front passenger seat is the king when it comes to chauffeur-driven experiences.

Massaging front seats, ventilated rear seats, and more are all part of the long-distance comfort experience.

The cabin would be pampered with ambient lighting, a high-end audio system, and blinds on the rear windows.

Thus, safety has been taken care of as well; sources have mentioned the immutability of Level-2 ADAS, numerous airbags, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera array.

Powertrain

The XUV 7XO, which is the successor of the XUV700, will mostly be the same in terms of engines, thus giving importance to performance and reliability:

The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine outputs around 197 bhp and 380 Nm of torque.

The 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine produces up to 185 bhp and 450 Nm of torque.

The transmission options are anticipated to consist of both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. An AWD setup is likely to be retained for some diesel variants.

Launch, Booking, and Pricing

Mahindra has opened pre-bookings for the XUV 7XO with a token amount (around ₹21,000), which is a sign of the manufacturer’s strong confidence in the market interest even before the official unveiling.

The exact price will be disclosed nearer to the launch date, but the industry estimates indicate an ex-showroom price range of roughly ₹15 lakh to ₹25 lakh, based on the variant and features.
