Keychron V6 Ultra HE: Keychron has put up a new keyboard called the V6 Ultra HE on its website. It is a full-size board made for both work and gaming. The big idea is simple. It lets users mix standard mechanical switches and TMR magnetic switches on the same board. Keychron says this hybrid setup is built around its Nova Socket design, which is meant to give people one keyboard that can handle both typing feel and fast game play.

The company’s pre-launch page also says the V6 Ultra HE is the first Keychron full-size keyboard that brings magnetic precision and mechanical tactility together on one fully customizable platform.

How the Switch Mix Works?

The V6 Ultra HE is made so users can place magnetic switches in spots where speed matters most, like the WASD keys, and keep regular mechanical switches on the rest of the board.

That means a person can get quick, adjustable key action for gaming and still keep the usual mechanical feel for typing. Keychron says the board ships with a mix of its Ultra-Fast Lime magnetic switches and Apex mechanical switches already installed.

The magnetic side uses TMR sensing technology, which supports custom actuation points, Rapid Trigger, SOCD behavior and other fine-tuning through Keychron’s QMK-powered web launcher.

Features and Build

Keychron says the V6 Ultra HE includes 8K wired polling, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.3, along with support for both macOS and Windows layouts. The keyboard also uses a gasket-mounted structure, sound-dampening layers, and double-shot PBT keycaps in the OSA profile.

It also has a detachable battery module, which should make battery replacement easier later on. Keychron’s reservation page says the VIP reservation campaign runs from June 15, 2026, to July 21, 2026, and that the Kickstarter launch date, pricing structure and delivery schedule are still subject to final confirmation. The page says reservation holders get early launch pricing, first-batch access and a free Keychron puller tool.

Pricing

The exact price has not been locked in yet. The text on the page says backers who pay the deposit will get an early-bird price shown as “$1?9”, but Keychron has not publicly fixed the final number in the page text. So the final launch price still looks like it will land somewhere in that range.

What Keychron is Aiming for?

Keychron is pitching the V6 Ultra HE as a keyboard that can feel steady for long typing sessions and also stay quick for gaming. The company says the design is meant to look clean on a desk while still being strong enough for heavy use.

It also says the open-source web launcher should make it easier for users to change actuation points, Rapid Trigger settings and other magnetic-key features without needing a desktop app.
