Youth Episode 3: Sharon Horgan’s HBO comedy has now started its weekly release rhythm. It began Season 1 with two episodes.
The next episode will air on Sunday, September 27, 2026. It will be available on HBO and HBO Max in the US.
The show first launched on September 20. Episodes 1 and 2 came out at the same time.
Starting with Episode 3, HBO will post one episode each week. This weekly plan will continue for the rest of the eight-episode first season.

What Is Youth About?
Written and executive produced by Sharon Horgan, Youth follows Alex. She is a 50-year-old divorced literary agent. She tries to make room for dating and intimacy, but she cannot ignore what is going on at home.
As the weeks go on, her situation gets harder. She looks after sick parents. She also has to deal with her son Ruari, who is getting closer to adulthood. The show mixes family tension, personal relationships, and Horgan’s sharp humor. It stays focused on the uneasy feeling of being in your middle years.
Horgan plays Alex. Rupert Friend plays Patrick. Sharlene Whyte plays Sam. Aran Murphy plays Ruari. Robbie Gee plays Frank.

What Happens In Episode 3?
Episodes one and two leave a lot hanging. There are unanswered questions about Ruari’s sudden circumstances. There are also open points about how Alex tries to juggle her own needs with her family’s demands.
So Episode 3 is likely to keep pushing those same threads. It should not feel like a brand new story with no link to before. Still, it is smart to wait for an official HBO synopsis before treating any details as certain.
