Concerning “A Murder At the End of the World”:
A Murder At the End of the World, a collaboration between Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, follows Emma Corrin’s Darby Hart, an amateur detective, and is yet another entry in the classic whodunit subgenre, following their recent success with The OA. An enigmatic invitation to an exquisite remote location is extended to Darby by a reclusive billionaire; he is accompanied by a select group of eight other guests.
But what initially appeared to be a paradisiacal retreat swiftly transformed into their worst nightmare when they discovered the demise of one of the visitors. When confronted with an unforeseen obstacle, Darby becomes entangled in a labyrinth of deceit and competing interests among the other invited members.
Darby must utilize her innate abilities to decipher the intricate puzzle and apprehend the assailant before any further damage is inflicted. As time passes, Darby’s objective becomes more urgent: in addition to uncovering the murderer, she must also untangle a labyrinth of secrets and determine the true purpose for which she and the others were brought together.
