The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will announce its second list of candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections on Tuesday, according to state unit chief Sushil Gupta.

Seat sharing negotiations between the AAP and Congress fell apart on Monday, leading the Arvind Kejriwal-led party to release its initial list of 20 candidates.

“We waited for the right moment for Congress, but now we will release our second list. We will contest all 90 seats with full strength, aiming to dislodge the corrupt BJP government,” Gupta told PTI Videos.

Gupta accused the BJP of turning Haryana into a crime hub and highlighted the state’s high unemployment rate, insisting that change is imminent. He also emphasized that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is a significant figure for Haryana.

The nomination window for the upcoming elections closes on September 12, with the 90-member Haryana Assembly election slated for October 5.

In past elections, AAP and Congress have had a mixed history of alliances. For the Lok Sabha polls, they teamed up in Delhi but contested separately in Punjab. In the 2019 Haryana Assembly polls, AAP contested 46 seats but did not win any.
