In a shocking turn of events, Kishore Shetty was arrested on Saturday by the Mangaluru police for possession of drugs. Along with 30-year-old Kishore Shetty, Mangaluru police has also arrested Aqeel Nausheel, 28, for possessing MDMA drugs.
Kishore Shetty and Aqeel Nausheel had bought the drugs from Mumbai in Maharashtra and were trying to sell it in Mangalore city of Karnataka, Mangaluru police commissioner said.
“The CCB police arrested the accused [Kishore Shetty and Aqeel Nausheel] this morning. They had brought the drugs from Mumbai and were trying to sell it in Mangaluru,” Mangaluru commissioner said.
The police have seized MDMA, a Bajaj Discover bike, and two mobile phones from their possession.
Aqeel Nausheel was earlier working abroad as a safety officer. He returned to India a year ago and began selling MDMA in Mangaluru which was brought from Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Along with Aqeel Nausheel, Kishore Shetty was involved in selling MDMA for money. Kishore Shetty and Aqeel Nausheel have been arrested for drug peddling and the consumption of drugs.
Police will now investigate the drug connection to Mumbai and track the complete trail. Police will now seek custody of the accused and trace all possible drug networks connected to the case.
For the uninitiated, Kishore Aman Shetty was a participant in the popular dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ and was also part of Bollywood film, ‘ABCD: Any Body Can Dance’.
