Abhi Shetty is a mechanical engineer who worked in MNCs like TOTAL France, but his constant quest to create something of his own helped him switch to the hospitality sector, where he created Barrels, his brand. Barrelsindia club today is doing great profit-generation in Manipal, India, for being the only innovative and conceptualized club in the region. In Dubai as well, it offers people varied and incredible experiences in food and music.
He says that his native place, known for hospitality & tourism business, had triggered him to choose this industry, where he got inspired by the successes of many hospitality units. He entered the industry in 2019, but the very next year, his brand was among the many that got hit by the pandemic. The initial period was tough for them, but gradually they recovered and made great profits by the end of the year. He courageously opened his second outlet in Manipal in 2021 to change the scene of nightlife and hospitality for the better in the region.
