In a shocking incident, a mentally unstable man allegedly murdered his 6-year-old son while on way to school. The incident happened in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra city on Saturday morning when the father was going to drop the child off at school.
Going by the reports, when the six-year-old child identified as Rishi Tomar, did not reach school, the teachers informed the family following which family members grew apprehensive, as the father was mentally unstable and under treatment.
Meanwhile, child’s grandfather registered a complaint with police and soon the officials swung into action.
The body of the deceased was found with injury marks on his neck, within an under-construction shop near their house.
As quoted in the reports, Agra SSP Babloo Kumar said that, “The body has been sent for autopsy. Prima facie it seems that his father Amit Kumar, who is mentally unstable and is going under treatment, murdered his own son. The police is questioning the accused and have collected evidences from the incident spot.”
Amit Kumar did not speak much after being taken into custody but was unable to explain properly what he did with his son after leaving for school.
Investigations revealed that the accused used to believe in occult practices. Police is investigating the matter to find out if the act was the outcome of superstitious beliefs.
