Alaska Fund to Distribute Direct Payments: Alaskans who are eligible to receive a check from the 2023 Permanent Fund Dividend but have not yet done so will receive their payment from the state within a single day.

On Thursday, a check will be issued to those who were in the “Eligible-Not Paid” status on January 10 and have not yet received a PFD payment from 2023 or earlier.

Applications for the 2024 Permanent Fund Dividend became available from the state earlier this month and will remain so until March 31. Submission of the application for the state program is possible through both online and paper means.

An applicant must, among other things, intend to remain a permanent resident of Alaska and not have been convicted of a felon to qualify for the program.

The 2023 PFD check, which began being distributed to eligible residents in October, was valued at $1,312 per resident, per the Alaska Department of Revenue.

“Alaskans will receive their share of the state’s natural resource wealth for the 42nd time with the 2023 PFD,” Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Adam Crum said in a statement regarding the payment from the previous year. “I would like to express my gratitude to our Permanent Fund Dividend Division for their ceaseless effort in processing applications and administering the program throughout the entire year.”

In 2023, he further stated, “We processed over 8,000 more applications this year compared to 2022.” “The 2023 PFD will directly benefit Alaskans and inject nearly $1 billion into the state’s economy.”

Eligible Alaska residents receive an annual payment from the Permanent Fund Dividend program, which is calculated on the state’s mineral revenues for the given year.
