In a shocking incident, a 32-year old man was murdered by two armed men in the middle of a busy street in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa on Thursday. While the murder took place in broad daylight, the onlookers watched from a safe distance. Some even chose to film the crime on their mobile phones.
As per reports, Maruti Reddy, while on his way to court was attacked by two men who dragged him out of the auto-rickshaw. The killers, believed to be his brothers, had a personal dispute with the Reddy. As Reddy was attacked, he tried to run but failed to save his life.
In disturbing footages captured on CCTVs, the men are seen armed with a machete. While one man holds him down the other man repeatedly strikes him with a machete. Reddy was brutally struck 11 times while the crowd on both sides of the road watched a man murdered just a few yards away from the court. As the killers left the spot, some ran to help him while some continued to film the crime.
The two attackers have surrendered. The police said Reddy’s sister was in a relationship with the brother-in-law of the killers and there was a dragging quarrel between the two families over this.
Local police clarified that there was no political fight behind the gruesome incident.
